Most of our range is brand new. We also sell quality-checked used laptops and desktops, mostly business-grade Lenovo ThinkPad and ThinkCentre machines. Every used product on WAULT.ONLINE carries a condition grade and a warranty period, both shown on its listing, so you know what you’re getting before you buy.

Our condition grades

GradeWhat it looks likeWAULT warranty
Grade A – Like newVery little or no visible wear. Hard to tell apart from a new unit at normal viewing distance.90 days
Grade B – Light wearLight, normal signs of use, such as small scuffs or faint marks on the lid, base or palm rest. No cracks or damage that affects use.30 days
Grade C – Visible wear, fully workingNoticeable cosmetic wear, such as scratches, dents, worn keys or marks. Everything works; it just looks used. The best value if looks don’t matter.Sold as-is (no warranty; the 7-day dead-on-arrival cover still applies)

The grade describes cosmetic condition. All graded products, including Grade C, are sold in fully working condition.

What we do before a used product is listed

  • Data wiped: the storage drive is securely wiped, so none of the previous owner’s data remains.
  • Fresh Windows 11 Pro: installed from scratch and activated with the device’s own digital licence. There are no borrowed or grey-market keys.
  • Checked working: each unit is checked to be in working order before it’s graded and listed.
  • Accessories as listed: chargers, cables or other items are included only where the listing says so.

Things to know about used products

  • Battery: as with any used laptop, battery capacity will be lower than when it was new. That’s normal wear and isn’t covered as a fault.
  • Older processors: a few older models (Intel 6th and 7th generation) aren’t officially supported by Windows 11. Where we’ve installed Windows 11 Pro on one of these, the listing says so clearly.
  • Keyboards: some models come from the UK market and have a UK English layout. The listing says when that’s the case.
  • Photos: where a listing shows the same model rather than the exact unit, it’s marked as for illustration only.

Warranty and returns

The warranty period on a used product runs from the date of delivery. If an item arrives dead, faulty or not as described, tell us within 7 days and we’ll arrange a replacement or refund. The warranty doesn’t cover accidental or liquid damage, misuse, or software issues. Full details are in our Terms and Conditions.
